Concert dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims in The Hague

On 20 April, a concert dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide organized by the Federation of Armenian Organizations in the Netherlands, under the auspices of the Armenian Embassy took place in The Hague.

The concert was attended by the representatives of the Dutch Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, international organizations and embassies, public and political figures, representatives of the arts and cultural sphere as well as members of the Armenian community.

In their speeches, the representatives of the Dutch Parliament underlined the importance of recognizing the Armenian Genocide and reaffirmed their commitment to make continuous efforts in that direction.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Netherlands Tigran Balayan also delivered remarks, appreciating those present for standing by the Armenian community in the Netherlands on the day of commemoration of the martyrs of Armenian Genocide. The Ambassador also thanked the Members of the Parliament for their contribution to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and expressed hope that the Dutch government would recognize the Armenian Genocide in the near future.

The evening of remembrance ended with the performance of works by famous Armenian composers by the "Zwarte Zee Kwartet".
